"Crane Berries" was the name early immigrants gave to cranberries because the vine’s blossoms reminded them of a crane’s head. Come see for yourself if cranberry blossoms resemble a crane’s head and watch honey bees busy pollinating the delicate blooms. Cranberry Blossom Day is sponsored by Wetherby Cranberry Company & the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center. Visit the Wetherby marsh to see cranberry blossoms up close while visiting with owners Jim and Nodji Van Wychen. Then stop in at the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center to learn more about Wisconsin’s cranberry industry. Sample cranberry wine and gourmet cranberry food products. The Wetherby marsh is open for tours from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, June 30th and t he Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center is open from 9 am to 4 pm Monday - Saturday.
