The Tomah School District is seeking an innovative educator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and build partnerships with the community. This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a strong background in: 1) RtI and PBIS, 2) Professional Learning Communities, and 3) Differentiated Instruction. The preferred candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and demonstrate a positive attitude. This position requires strong behavior management skills with training and/or experience in working with student with behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. Candidates must have knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) strategies and techniques, or have a willingness to be trained.
This is a permanent full time positions starting with the 2015-16 school year. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available.
Must have, or be eligible for, a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issued #1777 (Regular Education) (71) and a #1830 (Emotional Behavioral Disability) or #1801 (Cross Categorical).
