2010 Best Theme - Antique /Cranberry Country Mall
Event Description
The fun of the holidays is now just a memory. The snow and cold are taking a toll on your mental health. You’re looking for something to shake up your weekend but it has to be affordable and close to home.
Tomah merchants have just the thing for you. Nothing warms up a Wisconsin winter and gives you a mental jumpstart better than spicy chili, comforting soups, and great wine. On Saturday, February 18 from 11am – 4pm shoppers can sample chili, soup or stew at 8 shops, all different kinds, all made with a theme in mind. Tickets, $5 per person, go on sale February 1st at participating merchants and the Tomah Chamber of Commerce. Look for the colorful poster in the windows of participating merchants. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the tasting.
Along with your ticket you will receive a ballot to vote for the Best Chili/Soup/Stew and the Best Theme. By sampling and voting you will be eligible to win 2 Gift Baskets filled with items donated by participating businesses. Ballots can be turned in at Burnstad’s where you’re invited to taste the wines of 5 Wisconsin Wineries from 4-6pm.
All proceeds will be donated to Tomah’s Neighbor for Neighbor Food Pantry. So crawl out of your snow bank and gather your friends and neighbors for some warm winter fun while benefiting the food pantry too.
