Remembering Teresa

Event Description
The Remembering Teresa 5k run/walk began in 2009 as a way to honor Teresa Williams, a nurse in pediatrics at Tomah Memorial Hospital who was abused and later killed by her ex-husband. Her death shook the community and reminded all of us that domestic violence is not something that just happens somewhere else.
This years event incorporates both a 2-mile run/9-mile bike/2-mile run Duathon and a separate 5k run/walk.
Proceeds from the RT5K and Du benefit local domestic violence prevention initiatives, assist with financial support for her children, and provide scholarships for nursing students.
